Who is Joeann Daley?

Joeann is resident artist at Dominican High School, Whitefish Bay, WI, where she has her etching studio, Studio San Domenico. She has been a practicing printmaker artist for over 30 years and has exhibited in the United States, Eastern and Western Europe and in South America. She has done artist residencies in New York, Montana, Wisconsin, Illinois and in Italy. She has taught grade through college and adult classes.

She has had experience as an arts administrator and a speaker at local, regional and national conferences of art and religion. Years of Europan travel and studying and living in Italy have enriched her life experience as well as her art.

Joeann can put together exhibits of her etchings, lithographs, monoprints, prints with collage elements, photo and post card collages, drawings and mixed media.

 

Special theme shows from 15-60 prints include: Celebrate Italy, Living on the Edge of the Miraculous, Cosmic Creation, Celebrate Life!, Windows on the World, Montana Miles and others. The exhibits are tailor-made to fit gallery, college, community center, church or other public spaces.

Short-term printmaking residencies
Would you like a short term art infusion for your arts program? You can schedule a one-five day residency tailored for grade through college level and adult learning situations. The week includes one prep day and four days of teaching which can include etching, monoprints, marblized paper and other possibilities. An exhibit of the artist's work may be scheduled during this time at the school or in a collaborating place such as a gallery, bank, etc.

Weekend printmaking workshop at Studio San Domenico
Have you always wanted to explore the etching techniques needed to translate your idea into the language of etching and printing? Friday night introduction - 2 hours, Saturday - 6 hours. Materials included in the fee.

Etching demonstration and talk
Have you always wanted to learn about how to tell the difference between a copy and a print? Would you like to learn how an etching is made? Joeann can travel to your school, print club, or specified site to give a lecture demonstration of etching and what makes a print a print. She brings a demonstration press and all materials for a lively and informative talk for all ages.

Commissioned photo or postcard collages or a 1-2 day workshop on collage making
Do you-have a box full of old. photos, postcards or memorabilia from your travels, family, events, experiences and wonder what to do with them? Joeann can create an original art work that is infused with the spirit of your travels, family or other event.

A one-two day collage-making workshop
Joeann will lead the participants through a process of sorting, finding the connecting links and celebrating the feelings and memories of these bits and pieces of the life experience as seen through photos, postcards and small memorabilia. These pieces will come together in an original piece of art.
