Discerning a call to Dominican religious life begins with listening: to God, to one’s self, and to others who have lived a vowed life of prayer, study, community, and ministry.
Could God be calling you to spend a week of prayerful discernment at Sinsinawa?
- Participate in the daily prayer of the Dominican community.
- Explore the Dominican charism and the variety of ministries our mission embraces.
- Tour the Heritage Rooms to learn about our history.
- Walk the grounds and enjoy the rural setting.
- Browse in the library and Bookshop.
- Offer volunteer service for a few hours during the week.
- Share meals with the Sisters.
- Reflect on Dominican life with a retired mentor Sister.
- Meet with a Sister in vocation ministry for a discernment conversation and a reflection on the experience.

- Complete the application below.
- Provide the names of two persons who know of your spiritual searching and can speak to your readiness for discerning the call to Dominican religious life.
- Your free-will offering will be gratefully accepted.
