Sr. Frances Cogan, OP (Louis Mary)
Sr. Frances' home parish is St. Sabina in the Chicago Archdiocese. She is the daughter of the late John and the late Margaret (Schaffer) Cogan. Sr. Frances' ministry has been dedicated to teaching. In the Diocese of Peoria, Sr. Frances taught at Visitation, Kewanee, 1938-1944; St. Mark, Peoria, 1945-1951; and St. Catherine Siena, Peoria, 1974-1975. In the Diocese of Madison, Sr. Frances taught at St. Raphael, Madison, 1952-1953; St. Mary, Portage, 1953-1954; and Blessed Sacrament, Madison, 1980-1983. She served as Madison-based support staff for the Development Office for the Sinsinawa Dominican Congregation, 1983-1986. In the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, Sr. Frances taught at St. Clement, Sheboygan, 1954-1957; St. Robert, Shorewood, 1965-1968; and St. Bernard, Wauwatosa, 1969-1971. She lived in community at the Convent of the Paraclete, Whitefish Bay, 1993-1999. In the Archdiocese of Chicago, Sr. Frances taught at St. Vincent Ferrer, River Forest, 1961-1965; St. Richard, Chicago, 1971-1974; and St. Thomas More, Chicago, 1979-1980. She ministered as a secretary at St. Pius Provincial Office, Chicago, 1987-1989. She has also ministered in Nebraska, the District of Columbia, Wyoming, Iowa, New Jersey and New York. Sr. Frances is living in community at St. Dominic Villa, Sinsinawa.
Sr. Micheas Conley, OP
Sr. Micheas' home parish is Holy Rosary, Minneapolis, in the St. Paul and Minneapolis Archdiocese. She is the daughter of the late Wayne and the late May (Graham) Conley. Sr. Micheas' ministry has been dedicated to teaching. She has ministered in Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Oklahoma, California, and Nebraska. Sr. Micheas is living in community at the Motherhouse, Sinsinawa.
Sr. Danieline Conroy, OP
Sr. Danieline is the daughter of the late Daniel and the late Mary Ann (Fletcher) Conroy. Her ministry has been dedicated to teaching. She has ministered in Wisconsin, Alabama, Colorado, Minnesota, and Illinois. Sr. Danieline is living in community at St. Dominic Villa, Sinsinawa.
Sr. Consuelo Fissler, OP
Sr. Consuelo is the daughter of the late Gustav and the late Barbara (Morbach) Fissler. She entered the Dominican Sisters in Speyer, Germany, in 1932 and immigrated to the United States in 1937 with 22 other young women. She made her religious profession as a Poor School Sister of St. Dominic of Speyer, Germany, at Kettle Falls, Wash., in 1938. The congregation members at Kettle Falls became the Dominican Sisters of Spokane in 1986 and merged with the Sinsinawa Dominicans in 1995. Sr. Consuelo's ministry has been dedicated to teaching. She has ministered in Washington, Illinois, Montana, Wisconsin, and France. Sr. Consuelo is living in community at the Motherhouse, Sinsinawa.
Sr. Joanice Hogan, OP
Sr. Joanice is the daughter of the late Patrick and the late Mary Ann (Fahey) Hogan. Her ministry has been dedicated to teaching. She has ministered in Iowa, Illinois, New York, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. Sr. Joanice is living in community at the Motherhouse, Sinsinawa.
Sister Marie Robert Letford, OP
Sr. Marie Robert's home parish is Holy Trinity, Bloomington, in the Peoria Diocese. She is the daughter of the late Robert and the late Katherine (Shields) Letford. Sr. Marie Robert's ministry has been dedicated to teaching and community life. In the Diocese of Peoria, Sr. Marie Robert served as the principal at Holy Trinity/St. Clare, Bloomington, 1966-1970. She has also ministered in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Sr. Marie Robert is living in community at St. Dominic Villa, Sinsinawa.
Sr. Ellen Claire Miller, OP (Joseph Mary)
Sr. Ellen Claire is the daughter of the late George and the late Margaret (Morrissey) Miller. Her ministry has been dedicated to education, both teaching and administration, and pastoral ministry. In the Archdiocese of Chicago, Sr. Ellen Claire taught at Immaculate Conception, Waukegan, 1958-1963, and Rosary College (now Dominican University), River Forest, 1970-1983. She served principal at St. Thomas the Apostle, Chicago, 1963-1969, and as a pastoral associate at St. Mary Parish, Lake Forest, 1983-1986. In the San Bernardino Diocese, Sr. Ellen Claire ministered developing and directing the religious education program at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, La Quinta, 1989-1990. In the Diocese of Sacramento, Sr. Ellen Claire taught at Holy Family, Citrus Heights, 1990-1998. She served as a spiritual director and pastoral minister at St. John the Evangelist Parish, Carmichael, 1998-2006. She has also ministered in Wisconsin, the District of Columbia and Minnesota. From early in her religious formation, Sr. Ellen Claire was drawn to a verse of Mica 6:8, and it became a guideline for her many diverse ministries: "This is what Yahweh asks of you, only this: to act justly, to love tenderly and to walk humbly with your God." Sr. Ellen Claire is living in community at the Motherhouse, Sinsinawa.
Sr. Marguerite Morrison, OP (Luetta)
Sr. Marguerite is the daughter of the late Walter and the late Pauline (Sanger) Morrison. Her ministry has been dedicated to teaching. She has ministered in Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin. Sr. Marguerite is living in community at St. Dominic Villa, Sinsinawa.
Sr. Josette Pahl, OP
Sr. Josette's home parish is Annunciation in the St. Paul and Minneapolis Archdiocese. She is the daughter of the late Herman and the late Dolores (St. Martin) Pahl. Sr. Josette's ministry has been dedicated to teaching. In the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, Sr. Josette taught at Sacred Heart, Faribault, 1969-1972, and Annunciation, Minneapolis, 1972-1980. She has also ministered in Illinois, Wisconsin, New York, Iowa and South Dakota. Sr. Josette is currently ministering as a volunteer at St. Dominic Villa, Sinsinawa, and living in community at the Motherhouse, Sinsinawa.
Sr. Marielle Schmitt, OP
Sr. Marielle's home parish is St. Bernard, Wauwatosa, in the Milwaukee Archdiocese. She is the daughter of the late Hugo and the late Roberta (Miller) Schmitt. Sr. Marielle's ministry has been dedicated to teaching. In the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, Sr. Marielle taught at Annunciation, Minneapolis, 1939-1944. She served in pastoral care at Holy Rosary Parish, Minneapolis, 1990-1999. In the Archdiocese of Chicago, Sr. Marielle taught at St. Luke, River Forest, 1945-1951, and was the librarian at St. Giles, Oak Park, 1973-1979. In the Archdiocese of New York, Sr. Marielle taught at Our Lady of Mercy, the Bronx, 1951-1956. In the Archdiocese of Dubuque, Sr. Marielle taught at St. Joseph, Dubuque, 1956-1962. She ministered in pastoral care at St. Dominic Villa, Dubuque, 1999-2000. In the Diocese of Rockford, Sr. Marielle taught at St. Mary, Dixon, 1966-1973. In the Diocese of Madison, Sr. Marielle taught at Edgewood Campus School, Madison, 1979-1989. She has also ministered in the District of Columbia and Missouri. Sr. Marielle is living in community at the Motherhouse, Sinsinawa.
Sr. John Fisher Soeldner, OP
Sr. John Fisher's home parish is St. Patrick of Merna in the Peoria Diocese. She is the daughter of the late Louis and the late Kathryn (Quaid) Soeldner. Sr. John Fisher's ministry has been dedicated to teaching. In the Archdiocese of Chicago, Sr. John Fisher taught at St. Jarlath, Chicago, 1939-1945, and St. Barnabas, Chicago, 1945-1947. In the Diocese of Cheyenne, Sr. John Fisher taught at St. Mary, Cheyenne, 1948-1955. In the Diocese of Madison, Sr. John Fisher taught at St. Rose, Cuba City, 1955-1960. She served as the assistant principal and junior high coordinator at St. Jerome, Columbus, 1971-1974. Sr. John Fisher ministered as the coordinator of the canceled stamp program at the Motherhouse, Sinsinawa, 1982-2004. In the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, Sr. John Fisher taught at St. Bernard, Wauwatosa, 1968-1971, and St. Matthew, Milwaukee, 1974-1978. In the Diocese of Peoria, Sr. John Fisher ministered as the librarian at St. Clare, Bloomington, 1979-1982. She has also ministered in Iowa and Oklahoma. Sr. John Fisher is living in community at the Motherhouse.
Sr. Mary Wolff, OP (Marie Florian)
Sr. Mary is the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Loretto (Walsh) Wolff. Her ministry has been dedicated to teaching. She has ministered in Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, California, and Colorado. Sr. Mary is living in community in Colorado.
