St. Dominic Villa is a commitment, a mission, and a force of spiritual life. We have 34 Sisters over 90 (one is 106), 17 in their 80s, and 11 in their 70s. The Sisters tell us their stories which give a personal angle to our already written history. They are smart, funny, and crazy for the Chicago Cubs!

In the course of the year, we have received new beds and lift chairs in each bedroom thanks to grant funds and generous benefactors. Activities are provided to keep the Sisters’ minds challenged such as card games, bingo, and musical performances. Occasional trips are planned so they can go to the Mound for Mass and dinner, drive through the Dubuque Arboretum, or go out to lunch.

St. Dominic Villa is alive and well. You are always welcome to visit. We pray for our benefactors daily.

Sister Arturo Cranston, OP St. Dominic Villa Prioress
