Catching Fire From Dominic's Vision
Wonderful Spirit of Community
As evidenced for over 155 years, Sinsinawa Mound continues to be a place where the blessings of God can be both seen and felt. The wonderful spirit of community blends together Sisters and employees into a dynamic and harmonious family, dedicated to providing a beautiful and joyful home base for the Sinsinawa Dominicans.

Sisters, members attending the Dominican Leadership Conference, and Mound employees gathered in November 2006 to pray for peace in the world.

Rosa Rauth, Gloria Higgins (Amabilis), Roslyn Snyder (Adeltrude), and Sarah Anne Kaminski (Mary Ansana) chat about the cake decorations which show the Mississippi River region where Fr. Samuel ministered and, of course, his white horse, Napoleon.

The Mound community and employees helped six families (37 people) in December 2006. In addition, the Maria House in Dubuque, a women’s shelter, was provided with supplies for their pantry.
