“Reading the Signs of the Times” is the theme for the 2008 Associate Gathering, Nov. 14–16, at Sinsinawa Mound. The program will include a presentation by Theresa Byrne, OP, on contemporary spirituality. Edgewood College Professor Tom Brandner and Associate Tim Andrews will speak on our relationship with the natural world, and Jo Ann Timmerman, OP, will speak about the Associate role in promoting Dominican values in contemporary society. In addition to the individual presentations, the weekend will include a panel discussion.

The annual gathering weekend is a time for Associates and Sisters to continue to grow in relationship. As pictures from the 2007Associate Gathering suggest, the weekend is an opportunity for Associates and Sisters to pray, study, and share community together. The weekend includes time for quiet reflection, visits to the Villa, trips to the Bookshop, or walking in nature.

Join in the fun of finding that at the “heart of ministry is relationship.” Whether you are an Associate or a vowed Sister, plan to attend this exciting weekend! For information on scholarships, contact Diane Kieler via e-mail at dkieler@sinsinawa.org or via phone at (608) 748-4411, ext. 804.
