Sister Rita McCloskey, OP (Marie Brian), died Dec. 21, 2010. Professed in 1947, Sr. Rita taught in the following schools: St. Albert the Great, Minneapolis, MN; St. Patrick, Bloomington, IL; All Saints, Los Angeles, CA; SS. Peter and Paul, Tulsa, OK; St. Thomas, Peoria Heights, IL; and St. Brendan, Chicago. She was a special education instructor at Rosary College (now Dominican University), River Forest, IL; served the Sinsinawa Dominican Congregation as an elementary school consultant for the Southwest Province; and ministered as the superintendent of Catholic schools for the Diocese of Tulsa, OK. Sr. Rita ministered as director of religious education, adult education coordinator, and volunteer in adult faith formation at St. Raymond Parish, Menlo Park, CA. May she rest in peace. Sister Joan Mary Baldridge, OP (Marinus), died Oct. 24, 2010. Professed in 1952, Sr. Joan Mary taught in the following schools: Blessed Sacrament, Sioux City, IA; Holy Name, Kansas City, MO; St. Vincent Ferrer, River Forest, IL; and SS. Faith, Hope, and Charity, Winnetka, IL. She ministered as principal at Immaculate Conception, Chicago; Our Lady of Mercy, the Bronx, NY; and St. James, Ventnor, NJ. Sister Mary Agnes Koenig, OP, died Oct. 10, 2010. Professed in 1948, Sr. Mary Agnes served at St. Joseph Hospital, Chewelah, WA, as nurse, administrator, and in pastoral care; at Holy Family Home and Holy Family Hospital, both Spokane, WA, as administrator; at St. Martin Hospital, Tonasket, WA, as nurse; at Immaculate Heart Retreat Center, Spokane, WA, as associate director; and at St. Michael Parish, Conrad, MT, in pastoral care. Sister Margaret Anne Henn, OP (Mary DeMontfort), died Oct. 5, 2010. Professed in 1947, Sr. Margaret Anne taught in the following schools: St. Barnabas, Chicago; St. Raphael, Madison, WI; St. Peter, Anaconda, MT; St. Mary, Champaign, IL; St. Patrick, Rockford, IL; and St. Mary, Appleton, WI. She ministered as a nurse at St. Mary Hospital, Wausau, WI; St. Dominic Villa, Dubuque, IA; the Motherhouse, Sinsinawa; and Piedmont Gardens, Oakland, CA. Sr. Margaret Anne served in support roles as support staff at Trinity Convent, River Forest, IL; as secretary at Blessed Sacrament School, Sioux City, IA; as support staff at Community of the Resurrection Convent, Phoenix, AZ; and as resource/pastoral staff at St. Bernard Parish, Peoria, IL. Sister Teresita Kelly, OP, died Oct. 7, 2010. Professed in 1941, Sr. Teresita taught in the following schools: SS. Faith, Hope, and Charity, Winnetka, IL; St. Patrick, Imogene, IA; St. Thomas the Apostle, Chicago; and Edgewood College, Madison, WI, where she designed and painted the mural of St. Joseph in St. Joseph Chapel. Sr. Teresita devoted five years to designing and supervising the art in Queen of the Rosary Chapel at the Motherhouse which includes the stained glass windows, altar, Way of the Cross, sanctuary screens, and wall statues of the Blessed Mother and Saint Joseph. Sister Marian Harty, OP (Raymond Capua), died Sept. 20, 2010. Professed in 1954, Sr. Marian ministered at Edgewood College, Madison, WI, for 44 years as teacher, academic dean, and tutor. She taught at Cathedral High School, Omaha, NE; Rockford College, Rockford, IL; and Madison Area Technical College, Madison, WI. Sister Janet Ewens, OP, died Aug. 9, 2010. Professed in 1924, Sr. Janet taught in the following schools: Sacred Heart, Washington, DC; Sacred Heart, Omaha, NE; St. Joseph, Sioux Falls, SD; Sacred Heart, Faribault, MN; and Blessed Sacrament, Madison, WI. She ministered as a school administrator at St. Albert, Minneapolis; Central Catholic, Anaconda, MT; and Queen of Peace, Burbank, IL. Sr. Janet served as a school librarian at St. Cecilia High, Omaha, NE; Rosary College (now Dominican University), River Forest, IL; Holy Trinity, Bloomington, IL; and Regina, Minneapolis, and as a pastoral associate at St. James Parish, Kenosha, WI; St. John Parish, Milwaukee, WI; and St. Robert Parish, Shorewood, WI. She was a member of the professional staff at Dominican High School, Whitefish Bay, WI, and served as a proofreader for the Communication Office at the Motherhouse, Sinsinawa. May she rest in peace. She ministered as principal at St. Rose, Milwaukee, and as assistant principal at Our Lady of Refuge, the Bronx, and St. Robert, Milwaukee. Sr. Marie Sarah was the director of teacher education at Edgewood College, Madison, WI, and ministered at Dominican High School, Whitefish Bay, WI, as registrar and aide in the Learning Center.
