The beginnings of documented interest in the Cause for Beatification for Samuel Mazzuchelli, OP, stretches back to 1937 when the novena prayer was written. Behold, new things have come (2 Cor. 5:17). On Aug. 21, 2008, we welcomed a new threshold in the process regarding the Beatification of Venerable Samuel Mazzuchelli as the closing session of the diocesan tribunal took place at Sinsinawa Mound. This ceremony marked the closing of the Madison diocesan process of inquiry into the possible miracle obtained through the intercession of Venerable Samuel Mazzuchelli. We hope and continue to pray that he will one day be declared “Blessed.”
