In Memory of Sr. Mildred
Sr. Mildred Thompson, OP
The Gelman Library System of the George Washington University is honoring Mildred Thompson, OP (1929–2009), in perpetuity by dedicating a book in her honor. The book, entitled House of Rain: Tracking a Vanished Civilization Across the American Southwest by Craig Childs, contains a bookplate dedicated to Mildred. “This book supports students and faculty in their studies and research,” said University Librarian Jack A. Siggins. “The bookplate recognizes the important occasion of [Mildred’s] graduation and continuing connection to the George Washington University.”
