The Dominican High School (DHS) Board of Directors and the sponsoring Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters are pleased to announce the selection of the new Head of School Colleen Brady. Colleen’s extensive knowledge and past leadership exemplifies the goals and mission of both DHS and the Sinsinawa Dominicans. In her role at DHS, she will be responsible for providing leadership and establishing accountability for all aspects of the DHS mission, academic program, and support systems by overseeing the spiritual and professional development of faculty, staff, and students.
In Colleen’s past leadership roles, she demonstrated a high level of success in development. She has executed multimillion dollar campaigns, as well as managed a school budget exceeding $10 million. Her experience as the Director of Sponsorship Ministry with the Sinsinawa Dominicans is also vital to the DHS collaboration with the Congregation. Her vision, energy, and leadership in education and development makes her an ideal fit for this position.
Colleen’s educational credentials include a bachelor’s degree in political science and American studies from Carroll College, Helena, MT, and a master’s degree in administrative leadership and instructional supervision from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UW-M). Her post-graduate work in administrative and curriculum issues and trends in education from both UW-M and Marquette University will be beneficial to the rigorous college preparatory curriculum. Colleen’s special affinity for Catholic schools and her collaborative style of leadership is ideal for the DHS community.
Colleen’s official start date was July 1. During her transition from Florida to Wisconsin, she acclimated herself with the Dominican community through monthly visits beginning March 15.
