A History of Common Vegetables: Unusual Facts and Strange Beginnings
Have you ever looked at a potato and wondered how such a humble spud made its way into cuisine around the world? Join us and learn all about where your food really comes from and how humans domesticated and distributed some of the most common vegetables we consume today.
Thursday, March 9, 12 – 1 p.m. or 7 -8 p.m.
$10/person. Registration ends on Wednesday, March 8.
Presenter: Laurana Snyder has been the Sinsinawa Mound Horticulturist and Farm Coordinator since 2021 but has been working with the collaborative farm since 2018. She holds a Forest Management degree from Colorado State University and has a passion for organic farming, food history, and all things plant related.
