An Evening of Music and Reflection with Dan Schutte (on site)
March 10 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Encompassing the breadth of 50 years, the music of Dan Schutte has touched several generations on the journey of faith. His songs such as “City of God,” “Here I Am, Lord,’ and more recently, “Saints and Beloved of God,” have comforted, called, and lifted the hearts of many on their way to God. Special emphasis for this evening’s concert will be on our beloved Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa as most of them will be moving to Muskego, WI this spring. Come and join us as we send them forth on their next chapter of their adventure with God.
Friday, March 10, 7 p.m. Free will offering will be accepted.
Dan Schutte: Composer of “Here I Am, Lord” and many other beloved songs for worship, Dan hardly needs an introduction. He’s one of the best-known writers of Catholic liturgical music in the English-speaking world. Dan Schutte’s music has been part of the heartbeat for the Church for more than 50 years. Dan’s music and writings flow from his knowledge of and deep love for Sacred Scripture, his Ignatian spirituality and his years of ministry. Most weekends, he can be found on the road. For Dan, concerts, retreats, workshops and parish missions are all opportunities to help people connect with the God who loves them and calls them by name.
