Glass Garden Stakes
April 18 10:00 am - 12:00 pm$70.00
Come join Barb McKinlay to design three beautiful fused glass garden ornaments on 12” or 18” stakes depending on whether you want to use your stakes indoors or outdoors. Make birds, flowers, owls, cats, butterflies or your own abstract design in many colors. If you don’t need garden stakes, you can make a sun catchers to hang on your windows. Have a wonderful creative morning of glass making fun. Barb will take your finished designs home with her to fire and fuse the glass pieces in her kiln. They will be available for you to pick up at Sinsinawa two weeks after the class.
No experience is necessary for this workshop and all materials will be provided. Register for the afternoon class as well and have lunch at the Mound for an additional $8 or bring your own sack lunch.
Saturday, April 18, 2020, 10 a.m. to 12 noon. $70 fee.
Registration deadline is April 10, 2020.
Leader: Barb McKinlay. After 25 years of helping to promote the work of others, Barb made a conscious plan to explore a new life as a glass artist and designer. She built a studio in her own home and taught herself how to make art glass, although her designs seemed to have always been with her somewhere, as in her notebooks of drawings, doodles, and concepts. Barb’s designs are now incorporated into contemporary, fun, useful tableware, home décor, glass paintings and mobiles.
