Sinsinawa Mound Center offers retreats and programs as well as opportunities for personal reflection and renewal in a comfortable, rural setting.
March 28 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Come gather with people who are experiencing memory loss, mild cognitive impairment, early Alzheimer’s or other dementia, along with a caregiver, to share common interests and friendship. Kent Scheurelle, a retired teacher, will return with the second half of his program, “Grant County Folklore and History.” This will include Father Samuel Mazzuchelli, OP; a horse race; the founding of UW-Platteville; Pleasant Ridge, a black settlement; and even a ghost story. Kent’s interactive programs promise fun and entertainment for volunteers and café members. Participants will find common understanding and a safe environment for those living with memory loss. We plan a new activity every month. Memory Café is open to anyone in the tristate area and is free. Please have a caregiver present.
