Sinsinawa Mound Center offers retreats and programs as well as opportunities for personal reflection and renewal in a comfortable, rural setting.
Sacred Lands Tour

This tour will take us on guided visits to indigenous sacred sites at Effigy Mounds National Monument (Harpers Ferry, IA) and Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our guides will include the staff of Effigy Mounds, Rev. Robert Two Bulls (Lakota), Jim Bear Jacobs (Mohican), and Larry Martin (Ojibwe). All meals are included, including one meal provided by the well-known “Sioux Chef.” We will join the Gichitwaa Kateri Community – a Lakota and Ojibwe Catholic parish – for worship on Sunday morning. Group reflection will be shared throughout this experience. Housing is provided by All Saints Indian Mission Church in Minneapolis. Our time together begins Thursday night with an introductory orientation. Staying at Sinsinawa Mound Thursday night is optional with limited space. This tour will require being able to walk distances and sleeping on the floor on Friday and Saturday evenings.
The group will be limited to 20 participants. Our facilitators will be Eric and Brenna Anglada and once your registration is received, you will be contacted by Eric.
