Kevin Abourezk (Lakota) and Margaret Jacobs (white settler) are the co-directors of Reconciliation Rising (www.reconciliationrising.org), a multimedia project that showcases the lives and work of Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in the U.S. who are engaged in honestly confronting painful and traumatic histories, promoting meaningful and respectful dialogue between Natives and non-Natives, and creating pathways to reconciliation.

Liz Carlisle will present on a powerful land movement happening in this country: she has followed the story of four Indigenous, Black, Latinx, and Asian American regenerative farmers who are reviving their ancestors’ methods of growing food—techniques long suppressed by the industrial food system. These farmers are restoring native prairies, nurturing beneficial fungi, and enriching soil health.

This ecumenical memorial service will be held to honor family and friends who have died. We are planning to honor our deceased loved ones by displaying a personalized ornament on a tree in our Queen of the Rosary Chapel. During this service you will be invited to receive the ornament as your loved one's name is called.
