Alzheimer’s and Dementia Programs at Sinsinawa in March
Two Programs Help Those Dealing with Alzheimer’s, Dementia
Sinsinawa Mound and Alzheimer’s & Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin are cosponsoring two upcoming programs for people who are affected by dementia or their loved ones. Both programs will be at Sinsinawa Mound and are free.
Alzheimer’s Poetry Project: A Morning of Poetry and Fun will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 6. Join Gary Glazner, founder and executive director of the Alzheimer’s Poetry Project and internationally recognized speaker, as he shares his knowledge of using poetry with people living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia.
Understanding Alzheimer’s is scheduled from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 19. Participants will learn the difference between Alzheimer’s disease and dementia as well as what causes dementia. Practical actions will be shared whether you are concerned about yourself, a loved one, or just interested in helping others who are impacted by memory challenges.
