End Gun Violence

Sisters Call for End to Gun Violence

The Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa are grief-stricken and enraged by the senseless shootings at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, TX, and the grocery store in Buffalo, NY. We pray for the families, friends, and communities of the victims of these heinous acts. These horrific events urgently call us, once again, to put aside our cultural and political differences and work together to end gun violence in the United States. We implore Congress to act swiftly and courageously to make changes that will end the high rates of death by gun use. Through our Corporate Stance on Responsible Gun Ownership, we are committed to working for universal background check requirements and banning access to assault weapons. We echo what so many have said, “We are tired of this! Something has to change!”
