Family Farm Land
Navigating Family Farm Land Transitions
Family farms and land transition are the subject of a workshop and play, Map of My Kingdom, to be held at Sinsinawa Mound at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27. Who’s going to get the farm? And what are they going to do with it? Will your future plans for your land create harmony or strife for your family? Or have you even started to think that far ahead? “Map of My Kingdom,” a play commissioned by Practical Farmers of Iowa and written by Iowa’s Poet Laureate Mary Swander, tackles the critical issue of land transition. Following the 60-minute performance, there will be a 20-minute talkback followed by a two-hour workshop.
Registration by April 20 is $15 and at the door is $25. To register, visit our website at www.sinsinawa.org/moundcenter or call Guest Services at 608-748-4411. For more information, contact Eric Anglada at the same number or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
