40 Years of Religious Life
The following two Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa will celebrate their 40th jubilee at a Mass in Queen of the Rosary Chapel at Sinsinawa Mound on Sunday, July 14, 2019..
Sister Christina Heltsley, OP, has ministered in Illinois, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and California. Her ministry has been dedicated to multi-service nonprofit work. She is currently ministering as executive director at St. Francis Center, Redwood City, CA. Sr. Christina's home parish is St. Pius, Redwood City, in the San Francisco Archdiocese. She is the daughter of the late James and Mary (Clarke) Heltsley. Click here to send an honor online.
Sister Susan Ostrowski, OP, has ministered in Wisconsin, New York, Florida, Illinois, and California. Her ministry has been dedicated to teaching. In the Archdiocese of New York, Sr. Susan taught at Our Lady of Refuge, Bronx, 1982-1987. In the Diocese of Palm Beach, she taught at Hope Rural School, Indiantown, 1987-1989. In the Archdiocese of Chicago, Sr. Susan taught at Epiphany, Chicago, 1989-1993. In the Archdiocese of San Francisco, she taught at St. Peter, San Francisco, 1993-1997; All Souls, South San Francisco, 2000-2001; and Holy Family School, Redwood City, 2001-2017. In the Diocese of Monterey, Sr. Susan taught at Moreland Notre Dame, Watsonville, 1997-2000. Sr. Susan is living in community at St. Dominic Villa, Hazel Green, WI. Her home parish is St. Anne, Wausau, in the La Crosse Diocese. She is the daughter of the late Rupert and Janet (Wieland) Ostrowski. Click here to send an honor online.
