40 Years
The following two Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa will celebrate their 40th jubilee at a Mass at Sinsinawa Mound on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022.
Sister Linda Hunt, OP, has ministered in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Washington, as well as Bolivia. Her ministry has been dedicated to chaplaincy. Sr. Linda is currently ministering as a chaplain in Stevens County, WA. Her home parish is St. Mary, Helena, in the Helena Diocese. She is the daughter of the late Earl and Mildred (Prochazka) Hunt. Sister Eldena (Marie Evan) Scholl, OP, has ministered in Nebraska, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. Her ministry has been dedicated to teaching and serving as a sacristan. In the Archdiocese of Omaha, Sr. Eldena taught at Holy Angels, Omaha, 1954–1962, and served as sacristan at the parish. She is living in community at the Motherhouse, Sinsinawa. Her home parish is Sacred Heart, Rockwell, in the Dubuque Archdiocese. Sr. Eldena is the daughter of the late Arthur and Amalia (Rohner) Scholl.
