Jubilarians 2021—50 years

50 Years of Religious Life

The following Sisters will mark their 50th jubilee in 2021. A private Mass in their honor is tentatively set for Oct. 10 and will follow COVID-19 guidelines. Our Sisters who marked their golden jubilee in 2020 will also be celebrating this day.

Sister Maureen McPartland, OPSister Maureen McPartland, OP, has ministered in Texas, Illinois, Wisconsin, Alaska, and Iowa. Her ministry has been dedicated to teaching, pastoral ministry, and canon law. In the Diocese of Madison, she taught at Edgewood High School, 1981-1987. In the Archdiocese of Dubuque, Sr. Maureen ministered for the archdiocese as tribunal director, 2005-2020, and as chancellor, 2010-2020. Sr. Maureen is living in community at the Motherhouse, Sinsinawa. Her home parish is St. Therese (now Lumen Christi), St. Paul, in the St. Paul and Minneapolis Archdiocese. She is the daughter of the late Jack and Adele (Hollenstein) McPartland. Click here to send an honor online. 

Sister Jeanne Tranel, OPSister Jeanne Tranel, OP, has ministered in California, Illinois, Texas, New Mexico, Iowa, and Montana, as well as Bolivia. Her ministry has been dedicated to pastoral work and education. In the Archdiocese of Dubuque, she served as pastoral associate at Holy Family Parish, New Hampton, 2003-2012, where she also ministered with the Hispanic community. In the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, Sr. Jeanne served as pastoral associate and director of religious education at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish and its missions, Peña Blanca, 1997-2003. Since 2012, she has served in the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings as pastoral associate at St. Patrick Co-Cathedral, Billings. Sr. Jeanne’s home parish is Nativity BVM, Menominee, in the Rockford Diocese. She is the daughter of the late Howard and Lillian (Hilby) Tranel. Click here to send an honor online.
