Jubilarians 75 Years

Celebrating 75 Years of Religious Life

 

The following 2 Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters will celebrate their 75th jubilee at a Mass in Queen of the Rosary Chapel at Sinsinawa Mound on Sunday, June 4, 2017.

Sister Leopold Kaufmann, OPSister Leopold Kaufmann, OP, has ministered in Illinois, New York, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Her ministry has been dedicated to teaching and being finance officer and secretary. In the Archdiocese of New York, Sr. Leopold taught at Our Lady of Mercy, Bronx, 1957–1965. In the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, she taught at St. James, Kenosha, 1971–1973. Sr. Leopold is living in community at St. Dominic Villa.  Her home parish is St. Peter, Oshkosh, in the Green Bay Diocese. She is the daughter of the late Leopold and Kathryn (Freuen) Kaufmann. Sister Genevieve Pinion, OPSister Genevieve Pinion, OP, has ministered in Wisconsin, Illinois, and the District of Columbia. Her religious name was Sr. Mary Gertruda. Sr. Genevieve's ministry has been dedicated to teaching and music. In the Archdiocese of Chicago, she taught at Rosary College/Dominican University, River Forest, 1951–1996. Sr. Genevieve is currently living in community at St. Dominic Villa. Her home parish is St. John, Marshfield, in the La Crosse Diocese. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and Gertrude (Felker) Pinion. Click here to send an honor online.
