Renew Earth Connections
Retreat Looks for Renewed Connections
Sinsinawa Mound is sponsoring a weekend retreat that focuses on our relationships with our continent and native peoples. Re-Creating Our Relationships on and with Turtle Island—the Continent will be held Jan. 25-27. Sisters Eva and Priscilla Solomon present a reflective time for those seeking to understand the impact of colonization for native and non-native peoples on this continent and to explore spiritual paths for a future of healing and reconciliation. Story, ceremony, teachings, the United States version of the blanket exercise and group work will be included. The presenters are Anishinaabe sisters by blood as well as members of the Sisters of St. Joseph, Sault Ste. Marie. They work for indigenous justice and other justice issues in Canada. The registration deadline is Jan. 18, and the fee is $180 for an overnight guest or $104 for a commuter.
