Retreat Allows Time to Play in Dirt, Pray
Sinsinawa Mound is sponsoring a retreat with an opportunity to nurture both soul and soil. Ora et Labora, Latin for “prayer and work,” will be held June 21-23. Experience a balanced rhythm of work, prayer, presentation, discussion, and rest. Participants will spend the work portion of each day in the Sinsinawa Mound gardens and will enjoy meals prepared with food from the gardens. Sister Christin Tomy, OP; Eric Anglada; and Sister Caroline Sullivan, OP, will facilitate. They have experience connecting with Earth as a means of refreshing the soul.
The registration deadline is June 16, and the fee is $130 for an overnight guest and $63 for a commuter.
