Emerald Club Holds Reunion
by Abby Bjerke, Edgewood College Alumni Director
The Emerald Club is an annual reunion at Edgewood College (EC), Madison, WI, that honors alumni who have graduated 50 years ago or more. Each year, the Alumni Office inducts a new class into the Emerald Club. In June, we welcomed the class of 1972! More than 50 attendees joined us representing a variety of class years from the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. We are grateful to the Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa and Associates who joined us at the reunion!
The daylong event consisted of a continental breakfast, social time, Mass in St. Joseph Chapel, luncheon, program with remarks from President Andrew P. Manion, and campus tours. Honored class and Emerald Club members submitted biographies and photos ahead of the event to share their story and journey since they graduated—these were compiled and shared in a reunion book. The Emerald Club also helps students in financial need through the Emerald Club Endowed Scholarship Fund. Started in 2020, this fund is one of many ways our Emerald Club members support EC.
