Moms, daughters, and other loved ones of all ages are invited to join us for this annual tea gathering. Wear your favorite holiday dresses, and girls bring your dolls, too! We will be presenting tea, hot chocolate, canapés, and holiday desserts on the Mound's Heritage Collection of porcelain plates and silver services.
As the Christmas season comes to a close, celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany with the Sisters. This evening prayer includes a musical reflection and a procession the Christmas crèche in the Queen of the Rosary Chapel.
Dan Schutte offers a concert evening that participants experience as an oasis, a mini-retreat of sorts, that speaks to the hearts of many. Dan's latest offering, "Music of Hope" is based on his reflections of scripture and his listening ear, as he has been sharing his music among the people of God for the past 45 years. "Music of Hope" is designed to help us "lift our eyes" and find hope in God.
If you ever wanted to paint (write) your own icon, this is the retreat for you. The retreat will include morning presentations on the history of iconography; origin of icon painting; material used in iconography - difference between woodenboard & wall; first icon painters; most famous icon painters; materials used in modern iconography; usage of ancient techniques in present time and icon painting in traditional style.
This retreat is for people who don't sing, and for people who love to sing. Together we will sing songs that hold us together with life. Singing together deepens our sense of communion with others and our sacred respect and wonder in the face of all nature.
As we move through life we sometimes pray half-heartedly. Are these prayers heard? Do they matter? Sometimes we wonder how to pray. Are there special words or ways that work better? Then there is meditation, what does that have to do with praying? If I cannot meditate because I do not know how or my mind is too busy, does that affect my prayer? Is there more than one way to meditate? Basically, how do the two interact with each other??? These and others, are questions we will explore as we combine the ancient practices of Hatha physical practice of Yoga, Praying and Meditation

Jesse is a singer, songwriter, catechist, storyteller, humorist and evangelizer. Well recognized throughout the country as a dynamic speaker and musician, Jesse shares from his heart the love of Christ and the call to live out our baptism in every aspect of life.

Love and Grace Concert: An Evening of Music and Reflection
With a music legacy of 50 years, the music of Dan Schutte has played an integral role in shaping the liturgical life of the English-speaking Church. His songs have lifted the hearts of generations of faith into deeper prayer and worship of God. Dan's new collection, Love and Grace, featuring his beautiful melodies and compelling lyrics, continues that legacy.

After the morning sessions, you will learn the process of icon painting and will be painting your own icon.
Celebrate fall with our annual Harvest Fest at the Sinsinawa Mound Collaborative Farm. The day includes farm tours, hay rides, live music, kids' activities, and snacks. Learn about the local food system and see how beginning farmers are getting their businesses off the ground. You'll be able to purchase organic veggies directly from the six farm businesses that make us this year's cohort.
