Support Our Congregation Building Projects at Sinsinawa Mound

Sinsinawa Mound is forever our home. Some Sisters have moved to senior living communities elsewhere; however, Sinsinawa Mound will continue to be the home of our Congregation and the location of congregation offices. Sisters, albeit a smaller number, will continue to live here and Sisters will continue to be buried here. While we are no longer able to maintain some of our buildings, to accommodate our continuing presence at Sinsinawa, we will refresh the historically significant St. Clara Chapel for our primary worship space while honoring the history and beauty of its original design. After decades of little use, we will reconfigure it for prayer and Eucharistic services, and other cultural and educational gatherings, make it handicap accessible, and restore and protect the stained glass windows. The 1846 Stone building built by our founder, Father Samuel Mazzuchelli, will be refreshed to create a ministry center, with the mission to preach the Gospel, foster spirituality, and promote the arts and our legacy with the Mazzuchelli and heritage exhibit. Our congregation offices and space for a climate-controlled on-site archives collection will also be included. A four-stop elevator with legacy art, an accessibility ramp, and stairs to the main entrance will be added. For 176 years, the mission to preach and teach the Gospel has guided us in our daily lives. If you have questions, please contact us via email at philanthropy@sinsinawa.org or via phone at 608-748-4411. Thank you.
