Sister Eleanor “Ellie” Hoffmann, OP, has ministered in Illinois and Wisconsin. Her religious name was Sister Francesco. Sr. Ellie’s ministry has been dedicated to pastoral ministry. In Illinois, she taught at St. Bernard, Peoria, 1967-1969; and was principal at St. Clare, Bloomington, 1977-1978. Sr. Ellie served as associate director of the Peoria Diocesan Office of Education, Peoria, 1971-1977, and as pastoral minister at St. Columba Parish, Ottawa, 1978-1983; St. Mark Parish, Peoria, 1985-1988; and St. Anthony Parish, Bartonville, 1992-1999. She served the Sinsinawa Dominican Congregation as vicaress provincial for the Eastern Province while living in Bloomington, 1988-1992. Sr. Ellie is living in community with her Dominican Sisters in Muskego, WI. Her home parish is Holy Trinity, Bloomington, IL. She is the daughter of the late Jum and Frances (Hickey) Hoffmann.
