Sister Marilyn Schlosser, OP

Sister Marilyn Schlosser, OP, has ministered in Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, and Iowa. Her religious name was Sister Marie Emilie. Sr. Marilyn’s ministry has been dedicated to teaching and pastoral care as a hospital chaplain. In Wisconsin, she taught at St. Thomas Aquinas, Kenosha, 1955-1956; and St. Mary, Portage, 1985-1991. Sr. Marilyn ministered as the secretary for the Sinsinawa Dominican Congregation’s Northwest Province, Sinsinawa, 1981-1984, and served as pastoral minister at the Motherhouse, Sinsinawa, 1992-1994. In Illinois, she taught at St. Mark, Peoria, 1956-1957;  Visitation, Kewanee, 1957-1963; and Queen of Peace, Burbank, 1963-1968. In Minnesota, Sr. Marilyn taught at Bethlehem Academy, Faribault, 1968-1972; Immaculate Conception, Faribault, 1972-1973; St. Albert the Great, Minneapolis, 1973-1976, where she also served as co-administrator; and Annunciation, Minneapolis, 1976-1981. She served as pastoral minister at Sisters Care, St. Paul, 1991-1992. In Iowa, Sr. Marilyn ministered as chaplain at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque, 1995-2004, and continued to minister in Dubuque as needed from 2005 to 2019. She is living in community with her Dominican Sisters in Muskego, WI. Her home parish is Holy Rosary, Minneapolis.
