In March, Toni Harris, OP, met Father Vittorio Mazzucchelli in Italy. Fr. Vittorio is a 5th–generation nephew of Father Samuel Mazzuchelli, OP. Fr. Vittorio was in a car accident in the early 2000s and claims that he was cured by praying through the intercession of Fr. Samuel. As co-promoter of the Cause of Fr. Samuel, Toni visited Fr. Vittorio to learn more about the accident and healing in hopes of using his case to advance the Cause. “He was thrilled to meet an ‘American cousin’ and gave Toni a special blessing for the Congregation,” said Judy Schaefer, OP, who is also a co-promoter of the Cause.
