Mary, Mother of Jesus
chosen by God to nurture the Savior,
Mother of the Church and
model for all disciples,
guide us on our journey.
Your faith enabled you
to move with the unpredictable events
that led to the cross.
Help us to accept what we do not understand.
Teach us the wisdom
to stand before God
with open hands
to be free and ready
to hear what God asks of us.
Mother of those who seek God’s Will
may we have your gentle strength.
You are our guiding Star
leading us to that trusting commitment
that places our life in God’s hands.
Loving God, we thank you
for the model we find in Mary, the Mother of Jesus
and our mother. Amen.
